The sound

Two channels. Two cabinets.

Everything between your pedals and your speakers: the amp head, the cabinets and the mics. And if you already have NAM captures or your own IRs, there's room for them too.

The Valvex amp head with its tubes glowing and the Gain, Bass, Mid, Treble, Presence and Master knobs.

The amp head

One amp, two channels.

You pick the channel right on the amp, and your choice is saved with your sound: one song clean, the next with all the gain. Both respond to how you play, like a real tube amp.

VALVEX LEAD

Hard rock, metal and solos

The high-gain channel. Four tube stages in a row and a power section that compresses and breathes when you hit it hard.

  • Tight low end: a power chord on the low strings never falls apart, no matter how much gain you pile on.
  • Palm mutes that punch, dry and hard-hitting.
  • From crunch to high gain with a single Gain knob, no jumps.
  • Gain
  • Bass
  • Mid
  • Treble
  • Presence
  • Master

VALVEX CLEAN

Cleans, blues, funk and ambient

The clean channel of the same amp, with the same EQ: switching from one to the other changes the gain, not the color of your tone.

  • Full-bodied: a big low end and a sparkle that never gets harsh.
  • Holds up when you dig in: it stays clean even when you pick hard.
  • A pedal platform: overdrives, choruses, delays and reverbs sound the way they should.
  • Gain
  • Bass
  • Mid
  • Treble
  • Presence
  • Master

The cabinets

Two 4x12s all our own.

A Modern and a Vintage, recorded by us in the room. You won't find them in any pack or on sale separately: they're exclusive to Valvex and built into Valvex, with nothing extra to install.

  • Three mics for each cabinet: dynamic, ribbon or condenser.
  • Move the mic across the cone with your mouse and change its character, just like in a studio.
  • Blend both cabinets and spread them in stereo, one on each side.
  • Cut the lows and highs so your guitar sits right in the mix.
  • Got your own IRs? Drag them onto the cabinet and they just work.
The two Valvex 4x12 cabinets with their mics and the Blend, Spread, Low Cut and High Cut knobs.

NAM captures

Your amps, no limits.

If you have .nam captures of real amps, load as many as you want: they play in place of the amp head, with the Valvex cabinets and pedals around them.

And with the Imprint pedal, a pedal capture joins the board like any other, with its own Drive, Tone and Level, and sounds right in front of the amp.

They run light: measured on an ordinary laptop with a 2019 Core i5, a rig with a capture, cabinets and pedals uses about 20 % of a single core.

Imprint, the pedal that loads NAM captures of pedals.
