Download
Grab it and start playing.
One installer for both the free version and Live: it's the same program. No account, no email and nothing to activate.
Standalone and VST3 plugin · Windows
Valvex free.
Version 1.1.0 63.8 MB Windows 10 and 11, 64-bit
Prefer to copy it by hand? Download the zip, with the plugin on its own and a one-click installer.
Install
Three steps and you're playing.
-
Download it
A 63.8 MB installer. The cabinets and pedals are built in: no separate libraries to download. If your browser says the file isn't commonly downloaded, choose to keep it: that happens with every new program.
-
Open it
If Windows says it doesn't recognize the publisher, click
More infoand thenRun anyway(here's what it looks like). If your account is an administrator, Windows asks to allow the changes and it installs for every user; if not, it installs for yours without asking for anything. -
Open it, or find it in your DAW
Valvex is in the Start menu: open it, pick your interface and play. To use it as a plugin, tell your DAW to rescan for plugins and put it on your guitar track.
If Windows warns you
Every new program gets this.
Valvex is new and made by one person, so Windows doesn't recognize it yet and can't say who publishes it. It isn't saying there's a virus: it's saying it doesn't know the app. Two clicks.
-
It connects to nothing
No telemetry, no account and no internet. The license is checked on your own computer.

There's a person behind it
It's designed and coded by a Colombian guitarist, and he answers you himself: [email protected]
And when you play live
Live, no reinstall.
What you download is the whole program. The day you need your sounds on your foot controller, Live unlocks inside it with a key: $29 at launch ($49 afterwards), one payment.
What you need
Stuff you already have.
Windows 10 or 11
64-bit. Not on Mac yet.
A DAW, if you want
None: it runs on its own. And as a plugin, any 64-bit DAW that loads VST3.
An audio interface
To plug your guitar or bass into your computer. If it has an ASIO® driver, the app uses it for low-latency playing.
A CPU with AVX2
Almost any from the last ten years.
No DAW?
The version that runs on its own.
Valvex also works as a standalone app, no DAW needed: open it, pick your interface (with ASIO®, if yours has it) and play. Or, if you prefer, as a VST3 plugin inside your DAW: the installer includes both.
Valvex runs as a standalone app, with ASIO® for low-latency playing, and as a VST3 plugin inside your DAW. ASIO is a registered trademark of Steinberg Media Technologies GmbH.
